Profile
En-dong Bao, born in December 1963, professor and doctoral supervisor in College of Veterinary Medicine, Nanjing Agricultural University, acts as the executive director of International Society for Animal Health (ISAH), member of Standardization technical committee of Chinese Veterinary Medical Association, member of ChineseSlaughter Processing Standardization Technical Committee, executive director of Veterinary Pathology Branch of Chinese Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, and holds concurrentlythe executive vice President of research institute in Tianjin Ringpu Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. and theexpertof Tianjin Technology System of Dairy Industry.
From 1979 to 1983,he studied as an undergraduate student in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine in Ningxia Agricultural College and joined the school as a teaching assistant after graduation.He studied for a MasterDegree of veterinary pathology in Inner Mongolia College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from 1985 to 1988, and returned to work as the teaching assistant and lecturer in the Department of Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Ningxia Agricultural College. He studied inNanjing Agricultural Universityfor a DoctorDegree of veterinary pathology andgot a position as lecturer, associate professor and professorseparately in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Nanjing Agricultural Universityafter graduatedin 1995.He studied in the department of biology of Konstanz University and Hanover University of Veterinary Medicine, Germany from 1999 to 2000,from 2001 to 2002 and from 2004 to 2005, respectively. Devoted to study on mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine, animal tumor investigation, rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease, chicken infectious bursa disease, embryo immunity of chicken marek's disease, and animal stress protein and the pathogeneticmechanism of stress injury. Act as the chief editor of 《Animal Pathology》, and deputy chief editor of 《Sanitary Inspection of Animal Products》; coedited 《Veterinary Pathology》, 《Animal Pathology》,《Pathophysiology of Livestock》and《Pathological Anatomy of Livestock》.Research projects is mainly involvedin heat shock protein and stress damage, andthe research and development of new veterinary drug.He published more than 190 research papers in domestic and foreign core journals, therein more than 50 papers have been published in foreign key SCI journals.
