Research Interest
Dr. Wang’s current research is focused on: 1) Establishing information systems on antimicrobial use and the emergence of bacterial resistance in animal population in China. In recent years, the related studies of the association between antibiotics exposure and the emergence of bacterial resistance as well as dissemination in animal population under different dosage regimen condition are carried out. The main pathogens include E. coli, Streptococcus suis and Enterococcus. 2) Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of novel drugs in carried out pigs and chickens. 3) The effects of ABC transporters on the drug disposition, especially on oral drug absorption in chickens and pigs.
Her research program involves undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and is supported by funds from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), China Ministry of Science and Technology, and Nanjing Agricultural University.
