Research Areas and Descriptors

My major findings include identified new virulent factor in pathogenic Streptococcus equi ssp. zooepidemicus (SEZ) through genomics, transcriptomic and proteomics; identified host proteins interact with these virulence factors; clarified the signal transduction in host epithelial cells and immune cells during SEZ infection, especially the small GTPase related signal pathway; developed salmonella diseases serological diagnostic approach. I have published 19 SCI papers and I am the first author or corresponding author in 9 of these papers. I have gained 5 grants from the government, 4 of them are supported by the nation. Total funding is ¥1,610,000.

I am a veterinarian-scientist active in laboratory investigation, translational research, institutional service, and training of students.  These activities occur at NJAU and flow mainly through my focus on studying the molecular pathogenesis of streptococcus.
