Profile

Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine in Nanjing Agricultural University, Director of the Key Laboratory of animal bacteriology of the Ministry of Agriculture, China. He graduated in the college of veterinary medicine of Nanjing agricultural university in 1989. He studied as visiting scholar in Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago of America during the period of 2000-2001, and in Ontario Veterinary College of University of Guelph in Canada in 1998. His research focuses on viral diseases of swine with special emphasis on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus,porcine circovirus type 2 associated diseases and pseudorabies, and on the mechanisms of immunity against these viruses. He has published more than 250 papers, including 82 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He also has edited 5 books, including a Chinese textbook, Veterinary Biologicology. His research team has developed 3vaccines that has been wildly used for preventing and control swine diseases in China.
